With our IT asset management (ITAM) service, your devices are collected by our team and all data is removed, they are then reconfigured to your choice of software and safely stored until you need them. When you’re ready, we ship each device to their next user at a time and place to suit you.
What is Boomerang?
Device reprovisioning without the faff
Phones and computers in your estate will pass through many hands throughout their life and our lifecycle reprovisioning service ensures this process is as smooth and easy as possible.
Just because you have a new employee or new project no longer means having to acquire expensive new hardware – instead, upcycle what you already have in your estate of devices.
With little effort at your end
We use DPD for a convenient, zero-effort collection service. You won’t have to sort out packaging because the driver will bring a secure transit box for your device, and you won’t have to wait in all day for the collection because you will be given a one-hour collection slot on the day.
So, if you’re reallocating a laptop to a freelancer, or setting up a new starter with an existing desktop PC, we’ll ensure the devices are fit for purpose and reconfigured to the needs of their new owners before shipping everything straight to them.
We even include the packaging so you don’t have to go hunting for a cardboard box and packing tape. Our courier arrives with a plastic crate and will pack the device and then return it back to us.
What devices can I Boomerang?
Any existing device
Whether HardSoft or third party supplied, you can sign up some or all your business devices to our Boomerang subscription service, while having the freedom to add or remove devices from the service as you see fit.
Minimum of three devices
There is a minimum of three devices for a 12 month period, and we can store them for free with subscription, limited to up to 90 days on an ad-hoc basis.
Boomerang on an ad-hoc basis
We even offer our reprovisioning service on devices outside of a subscription if you don’t have a frequent need.

How do I get Boomerang?
If you’re an existing customer, your Account Manager will be happy to set you and your devices up to take full advantage of our device lifecycle reprovision service for a minimum of three devices for 12 months.
If you’re new to Devices for Teams, you can choose to add Boomerang to your account in the signup process.

How collection and delivery works if you have requested packaging
We use DPD to collect and deliver your devices
- On the morning of your collection, you or your employee will receive a tracking number through SMS or Email, along with a one-hour time slot.
- The DPD driver will arrive with a pink protective crate which will secure your device and be sealed with security tags. No need to find packaging or a roll of tape.
- You will receive a notification once your device(s) get to us.
We’ll send everything out when you’re ready
When you’re ready for us to send out your device(s), give us a minimum of 24-hours’ notice and we’ll get everything shipped to where it needs to go.
We can store your devices until you need them
If you’re not ready to send the device back out to a new user immediately, that’s no problem. We’ll store it until needed at no extra cost for up to 90 days and start charging a fee after that point.
Ready to Boomerang a device?
Please contact your Account Manager to set up a subscription to Boomerang.
When you’re ready to Boomerang a device, allow us at least 24 hours notice for the pick-up, and then we’ll check it over, wipe the data and ship its new user on a day and time to suit them.
If you are not ready to send the device back out to a new user immediately, that’s no problem. We will store the device for you until you have a new user. There is no extra fee for storing a device for up to 6 months.
