We are committed to doing what we can to help our planet. Not only are there financial benefits to recycling your old PC, but there are also ethical benefits too. IT is a massive source of environmental waste, and by recycling your laptop or desktop, you help reduce the strain on the environment, contributing to a more sustainable society. Conserving natural resources is key for the future of our planet.
Recycling plastic, metal, glass etc. means there’s less need to make more of these materials, and therefore fewer fossil fuels, mining, and raw materials are used to make any new products. The result of this is that there is a reduction in the harmful damage done to the natural world. The more we recycle, the fewer forests are cut down, the fewer wild animals are harmed, and less pollution fills our air and water.
So what happens to your device when it’s recycled? Once we have collected your PC, it will be checked and data removed. From there, your redundant computer will be sent to a facility where it will be sorted, graded, and prepared to be broken down into parts. By separating the materials and breaking them down to their raw forms such as glass or metal, they can be sent back to manufacturers to create new products!
FAQ’s on Recycling unused computers…
Is there a maximum number of units that HardSoft will accept to recycle? No. For larger volumes we will use our Driver and van to make things easier.
Can I get a Waste Certificate? Yes, you certainly can. Please request though.
Do I need to be a HardSoft customer? Yes. You need to be a contract for a Device with ourselves. We cant help previous customers of HardSoft.
Is this for business users only? This offer is only for businesses. We can’t make payments or collect to home users and home addresses.
Is there a maximum age of the computer that HardSoft can recycle? No
Do I need to remove my data? We would very much like you to though we will shred your data upon receipt of the computers.
We don’t have any packaging. Can you help? Yes, we can. We can send up some shipping materials so you can pack the computers up safely. Or we can use our own Drivers who will load it straight into a Van.
I reckon my computers are worth more than what you are offering? Send us more details and we will offer you a great trade-in value. Talk to your Account Manager about Part Exchange options on working higher value computers.
