We are one of only a handful of authorised companies offering SOLIDWORKS CAD packages and the first to be approved in the last 9 years, but we’re doing it with a difference.

SOLIDWORKS 3DEXPERIENCE is available on a monthly subscription payment over a one year lease, all installed and supported by fully SOLIDWORKS Certified technicians.

Let’s find out what’s going to be new with SOLIDWORKS in 2021.

Improved Large Assembly Design

The performance of Detailing Mode has been improved to increase drawing creation speed and the ability to add hole callouts, add Detail, Break, and Crop views, edit existing annotations and dimensions, as well as faster file operations, automatic Lightweight mode, and configuration switching, helping solve even the most complex of assemblies.

Streamlined Workflows for Creating Assemblies

Assembly modelling has been enhanced to include saving defeatured models as configurations, enabling users to toggle between simplified and full versions, interference detection reporting which can be exported to Excel with images, an option to resolve lightweight components automatically when expanding Feature Tree node, curve length for chain patterns, and auto-resolve lightweight components.

Better Part Design Flexibility

More than 60 features and commands in parts now have redo available, file properties and cut list properties now have the ability to add and evaluate equations, sheet metal for edge flanges on non-planer tangent edges.

Faster Performance on Large Complex Designs

Performance has been improved for silhouette edges and drawings, occlusion culling, open/close/save assemblies, adding files to SOLIDWORKS PDM vault, and detection/reporting of circular references.

Connection to the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

Connect to the design-to-manufacturing ecosystem in the cloud and enable teams to collaborate on real-time data from anywhere at any time as long as you have an internet-enabled device, allowing them to create product development workflows and extend with new tools.

Faster Contact Simulation

Significantly speed up contact simulation calculations with faster contact simulation. With improvements including improved CPU usage, faster stiffness calculations, parallel computing, and robust data communication for contact.

Improved Meshing

SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2021 has a new mesh default. There is no enforced common mode, which means that users can obtain a mesh more quickly but with the same accuracy. New mesh diagnostics enable users to identify, isolate, as well as have prompts to fix poor quality elements.

Automatic Selection of the Equation-Solver

Your simulations will be speedier and more accurate with an automatic selection of the equation-solver.

Plastics Manager Tree

Plastics Manager Tree has been redesigned for various nodes to provide a more streamlined and logical workflow for domain specification, process parameters, material selection, and other plastics simulation preprocessing.

Improved Accuracy of Cooling Results

Baffle and bubbler cooling system components including a new feature to split flow passage into two halves when a blade is inserted into channel. Plat is replaced with smaller inner tube for bubblers.

Accurate Material Data

SOLIDWORKS has built partnerships with leading global plastic material suppliers to enable customers to have access to more precise plastics material data, improving their results.

SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2021

3D Electrical Routing Gets Faster

The performance of routing of wires in 3D has been improved greatly, meaning users can 3xperiment faster and refine the overall product design with electrical route path choices inside complex equipment.

Customising User Rights

User access to areas such as projects, product date, libraries, and drawing controls can be customised for members of your workgroups to maintain data security.

More Realistic Models of your Product

You can now get a more realistic model by determining the mass properties of your cable, wire, electrical harness design inside the 3D model of your overall product, machine, or vehicle.
