Support on Windows 7 ceased on 14th January 2020

Microsoft is no longer providing security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7. So what exactly does ‘end of life’ mean for Windows 7 users in Ireland? Simply put, if you’re continuing to use a PC with Windows 7 it will still work BUT without security updates, it will become vulnerable to viruses and security risks. There will be no further software updates, and no technical support available. In order to avoid the risks, Microsoft recommends that you upgrade to Windows 10 as soon as possible.

Upgrading to Windows 10

Windows 10 was released in July 2015 and offers advanced security, features, and compatibility, but upgrading isn’t cheap with the cost of a single license at €259.59. This makes leasing a wise option because the cost difference between the Windows software upgrade and a new PC or laptop with Windows 10 Professional is almost negligible.

Leasing Gives you More

All of HardSoft’s PCs and laptops have Windows 10 Professional and come with our tech support, as well as our 3-year ‘no quibble’ warranty, and our fast and simple leasing process, which means that transferring existing software applications from your old to new PCs will be as simple and pain-free as it can be!
