Printing is something that generally falls ‘under the radar’ in most offices. You just expect to press print on your computer screen and that the printed paper will arrive on your desk within a matter of seconds. But how do we know which is the best printer for your business?
HardSoft offer a wide range of printers by various manufacturers on our typical Flexi-Lease. The printers that HardSoft offer can range from day-to-day office printers and multifunction printers, all the way up to A1 and A0 large format printers. All are available on our 3-year Flexi-Lease with 3-year on-site warranty and telephone technical support.
One of the most popular models in recent months has been the Xerox VersaLink C405DNW which is an A4 colour laser multifunction printer with wireless capability. A perfect office printer for up to 20 staff offering 35ppm colour printing and 21ipm scan speed. In fact, we have recently had one of these installed in the HardSoft Sales and Marketing office and we love it! Our favourite features are the ability to set it to print in mono only – saving money on the coloured ink and pleasing the boss! – and that we can use it to scan a document and have it sent straight to any recipient in your list of users. No more scanning and emailing to yourself, then forwarding on to the person who actually needs it. You can even rename the file, rather than accept those long weird and random file names. Available to lease from HardSoft at £6.90 + VAT per week including full 3-year on-site warranty and telephone technical support. The C405DNW also allows for additional paper feeder tray and a floor standing cabinet should it be required.
Focusing on the same brand, Xerox offers an A3 colour laser multifunction printer, the VersaLink C7020DNW. Similar to the VersaLink C405DNW, the C7020DNW is reliable and with a consistently high quality print, copy and scan functionality and can be networked wirelessly, making it an ideal printer to lease for any modern business that needs to add creativity to their documents as well as general office printing. This A3 colour printer has excellent secure mobile connectivity to your iOS and Android devices, offering great flexibility by allowing you to connect remotely on the move. Available to lease at £15.40 + VAT per week, it is still seen as great value for a real ‘workhorse’ printer.
Rather than rely on reviews online for the Xerox printer range, we asked for the comments of one of HardSoft’s most experienced network engineers, Gavin. Gavin mentioned that whilst installing Xerox printers into a computer network “the setup is seamless” and “the integration into a Windows or Mac network is better than any brand of printer we have installed before”. Gavin particularly likes the scan to email function that the Xerox Multifunction models offer and mentioned that “this has been a problem for clients in the past but the Xerox range make usability extremely easy”.
It’s good to know that our engineers are finding that our customers like the same functionality that the Xerox range bring to them as the HardSoft HQ team do.
