HardSoft offer a Part Exchange option of your old iMac against any new Mac

The iMac is a range of all-in-one Macintosh desktop computers and has been the principle part of Apple’s desktop offerings since its introduction in 1998.In January 2006 we saw the first Intel-equipped Macs and the introduction of the MacBook Pro. Within nine months Apple transitioned the entire Macintosh line to Intel - one of its many benefits was the ability to run Windows.

During 2010 Apple updated the iMacs to feature the new Intel Core processors. It was also in this year that Apple added an option to use a solid state hard drive. For 2011 Apple introduced Intel Thunderbolt technology, Intel Core i5 and i7 Sandy Bridge processors, and a HD FaceTime camera for the iMac line.

Released at the end of 2012 was the new iMac with a significantly thinner edge (at the loss of its SuperDrive), along with updates to the ports, it boasted the new Apple Fusion Drive and a faster processor and graphics.

In October 2014 the 27” was refreshed and the Retina 5K born with a resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels. The new model also has an upgraded processor, Graphics chip and I/O. Designed primarily for the creative designer, photographers and video editors. No one can deny the clarity of the image on these iMacs.
