Flexi – Lease and the Renewal options
HardSoft, established for over 25 years, has taken a unique approach to providing IT solutions to business users; they are an authorised supplier of the equipment as well as the credit broker. The result being HardSoft are in control of the supply of equipment, its support and the lease finance; meaning HardSoft offers tailored and more flexible solutions.
Quite unusually HardSoft offers Renewal options on all its leases, allowing you to renew your IT lease with new equipment, while keeping the old… Furthermore HardSoft recognises the differences between Apple Mac and PCs, in that they need to have different Renewal options reflecting the lifecycle of the product.
PCs & Networks
After eighteen months into your lease you can renew the agreement in much the same way as you would a mobile phone contract. HardSoft will contact you and offer the equivalent or an even higher computer specification at a similar cost per month.
As you keep the existing equipment (at no cost and you are free to sell it) this can affect your choice of new equipment, and is often the case that businesses move across to a different PC, software, printer or other peripherals. Renewing to more expensive equipment will increase the monthly cost, likewise costs will decrease if you opt for cheaper equipment. The new lease will be over thirty-six months, allowing you to exploit this option again after 18 months (original payments cease as the contract ends).
When the lease expires you have a number of options; pay a one off charge of £1 and you can keep the equipment; or HardSoft can come and collect the equipment and dispose of it responsibly; or of course you can take out another agreement with new equipment.
Apple Mac
Historically Apple Mac’s do not change as frequently as PCs, therefore the Apple Mac Renewal option is at twenty-four months. Unlike our PC Renewal we allow Apple customers an option to cancel and return the Mac at this point.
HardSoft, authorised Apple reseller, refer to this option as RETURN, RETAIN, RENEW. After twenty-four months you can RETURN the equipment and cancel the contract (subject to a fee of £75 per Mac to collect and wipe all data); or RENEW the lease in much the same way as you would a mobile phone contract. HardSoft will contact you and offer the equivalent computer specification at a similar cost per month. If you choose to keep the existing equipment (at no cost and leaving you free to sell it) you may find this affects your choice of new equipment; it is often the case that customers move across to a different Apple Mac or maybe a PC, new software, printer and / or other peripheral equipment.
As with the PC option, upgrading to more expensive equipment will increase the monthly cost, and cheaper equipment reduces monthly costs (the original payments cease as the contract ends). The new contract will be over thirty-six months allowing you again, at twenty-four months, to upgrade your equipment and make the most of your contract. Alternatively you can continue the lease for the full thirty-six months and RETAIN the computer at the expiry of the lease for a one off fee of £1.
