So, how does the lease work ?  You sign up for 3 years….after 24 months you can RETURN the equipment and cancel the lease, calling it a day. Many lease companies charge the ‘market price’. On an Apple Mac this can be quite a hefty fee as an Apple Mac computer retains its value and after 3 years deflates to approx 30% of its original value. In fact Apple’s own lease scheme (operated by GE Financial Services) requires a substantial fee  at the end of the lease. PC World offer a lease scheme called Rentsmart which requires substantial costs to keep the computers.

HardSoft customers who do not wish to renew the lease at the end (and do not have any other existing agreements) will still be offered the equipment without quibble for £59 plus VAT.  If businesses want to return the equipment at the end of the lease then HardSoft will collect and dispose of the computers at no cost. For new customers Adobe have announced a subscription service for the CS5.5 suites as well. This is an interesting concept and almost follows the principals of the HardSoft lease arrangements for software. Adobe have announced a price of £72 per month for Cs5.5 Design Premium. This is available on our traditional software lease at £41.15 per month. All Adobe software is available to lease as are educational and corporate licences.

HardSoft are exhibiting at Earls Court today and for the rest of the BroadCast Video Expo Show ( 15th , 16th & 17th february 2011).
